SRX series services gateway Firewall's

SRX Series firewalls provide protection to businesses of all sizes. SRX combines Juniper's JUNOS enterprise class routing platform with Netscreen's ScreenOS security functionality.

While JUNOS is a different platform from ScreenOS, Juniper have tried to make the transition easy:

SRX100
The SRX100 (B & H) is designed as a small office/remote office firewall with 8 fully configurable Ethernet interfaces. The SRX100, like its siblings, supports a 3G wireless card for true high-speed network back-up links or for those areas where wireless is the only option. The H variant is required to run UTM services (such as Anti-Virus, URL control, IDP and Sophos anti-spam).

The SRX100 is rated at 200Mbs IMIX (650Mbs large packets), almost double the SSG-5 performance. Full native Active/Active or Active/Passive failover support, 128 VPN tunnels and 32000 concurrent sessions make the SRX100 a powerful option.

SRX210
The SRX210 is designed as flexible a small office/remote office firewall with WAN (via the addition of Physical Interface Modules (PIMs) and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces options. The SRX210, like its siblings, supports a 3G wireless card for true high-speed network back-up links or for those areas where wireless is the only option. The H variant is required to run UTM services and includes a Content Security Acceleration co-processor — which runs ExpressAV and Intrusion Detection and Prevention as well as URL and SPAM filtering.

The SRX210 is rated at 250Mbs IMIX (750Mbs large packets), almost triple the SSG-20 performance. Full native Active/Active or Active/Passive failover support, 256 VPN tunnels and 32000 concurrent sessions make the SRX210 a benchmark for the industry.

SRX240
The SRX240 is a gigabit class firewall with multiple WAN (via the addition of Physical Interface Modules (PIMs) and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces options. The SRX240, like its siblings, supports a 3G wireless card for true high-speed network back-up links or for those areas where wireless is the only option. The H variant is required to run UTM services and includes a Content Security Acceleration co-processor — which runs ExpressAV and Intrusion Detection and Prevention as well as URL and SPAM filtering.

The SRX240 is rated at 500Mbs IMIX (1.5Gbs large packets), almost double the SSG-140 performance. Full native Active/Active or Active/Passive failover support, 1000 VPN tunnels and 128000 concurrent sessions make the SRX240 the choice for a medium business or a company hosting a number of web servers.

SRX650 Series
The SRX650 is the largest of the Branch SRX series. This 2U rack mount, high performance firewall comes with 4 x 10/100/1000 ports. The system is expandable via the addition of Physical Interface Modules (PIMs).

Performance is 2.5Gbs IMIX (almost quadruple the SSG500 series it is comparable with. Full native Active/Active or Active/Passive failover support, 3000 VPN tunnels and 512000 concurrent sessions make the SRX650 the choice for some large enterprises.
