Fluke Networks Optiview Series III Integrated Network Analyzer - Overview

The Fluke Networks Optiview Series III is a portable, integrated Network Analyser. Available with a wide range of options, this tool can provide rapid and easy-to-understand information about your network - LAN, WAN, WLAN and VoIP. Simply connect an OptiView to your network and it automatically obtains an IP address (with or without DHCP). Optiview will immediately begin its advanced active discovery process and begins populating its front page with intelligently delivered information. OptiView is similar to the front page of a newspaper. There are clips of different areas of interest on the network, and you can select what your current interest is simply by touching the screen

• Optiview Traffic Analysis provides real-time statistics that enables network professionals to understand how network resources are being used.
• Easy to set-up and use; as soon as the Optiview is connected to the network, it automatically begins to discover devices with no complex set-up or customisation required.
• With Optiview Device analysis, devices are grouped into logical categories – hosts, switches, routers, servers, printers, wireless access points enabling you to identify and correct configuration problems.
• Optiview Wireless analysis discovers wireless access points and clients; enabling detection and location of rogue AP's, channel monitoring and full packet capture and decode for complete analysis of 802.11 a/b/g WLANs
• Optiview VoIP analysis processes a capture file and uses advanced algorithms to grade the voice quality being delivered. QoS assessments are generated for each call without the need to perform detailed decoding.
• Optiview application troubleshooting speeds up troubleshooting application and network performance issues by automatically validating that network services are available and operating correctly
• At some point in time, you will need to resort to capturing traffic in order to determine the cause of a problem. Optiview captures and decodes packets using it's Integrated Protocol Expert
